About Cooperativa Provinciale Garanzia Fidi
Cooperativa Provinciale Garanzia Fidi Società Cooperativa was established to address a persistent challenge faced by small and medium-sized enterprises in our province: access to credit. From our earliest years, we recognised that viable, productive businesses were being turned away by lenders not because of poor fundamentals, but because they lacked sufficient collateral or an established credit history. Our response was to create a mutual guarantee structure where member contributions collectively support individual financing needs, spreading risk while enabling growth. Over the decades, we have built strong, trust-based relationships with regional and national banking institutions, allowing us to negotiate favourable guarantee terms on behalf of our members. We serve a broad membership base that includes traditional SMEs, cooperatives, artisan businesses, and agricultural enterprises, reflecting the diverse economic character of our province. Our approach is grounded in cooperative principles: democratic governance, shared benefit, and reinvestment in the community rather than profit extraction. Every decision we make is guided by what is best for our members and the broader local economy. We employ specialists with backgrounds in corporate finance, agricultural economics, and cooperative law, ensuring that advice is always informed by genuine expertise. Our operational processes are continuously reviewed to meet evolving regulatory requirements and to adopt best practices in financial risk management. We are committed to remaining a stable and accessible institution for as long as local businesses need the support we provide.
